WHY MOSCOW COPPER CO. MEANS AUTHENTICITY
THE HISTORY OF OUR MUGS
Our story starts in 1941, when Sophie Berezinski (the great-grandmother of our founder) came to the United States with 2,000 solid copper mugs that she helped design with her father. She had a serendipitous meeting with the owner of the Cock ānā Bull pub in Los Angeles and the original importer of Smirnoff Vodka. Together, they perfected the recipe for the original Moscow Mule, served in the copper mugs that would keep the cocktail bracingly cold and become their signature.
GENUINEĀ COPPER FINISH
Because they are made from 100% pure copper, our mugs will naturally acquire a classic patina over the years. The patina which does not damage the metal and is often prized by collectors as a symbol of the mugsā history and longevity.
Donāt want a patina? No problem. Occasionally applying
Penny Brite copper cleaner, specially formulated for copper cookware, will maintain the mugsā glossy, like-new shine.
